No, I couldn't stay away for long, and a confession of sorts...

Things are thankfully a little quieter in our household, husband not so drastically ill, is even considering being able to leave the house towards the end of next week, and so able to return to my blog. And the confession? When we were going through a very bad patch, I tried to do magical tricks with the coding on my blog - fool that I am

motto: never attempt any such thing when your world is going upside down!

and so ruined my lovely Alice in Wonderland blog illustrations, kindly put together for me by Mary of Bright Sunshine Designs, (a link to her wonderful designs on the sidebar of my blog). You probably didn't notice that I lost the side bar illustrations, great woe on my part, and as she has now put things right for me again, I feel that I have the strength and motivation to continue blogging.

p.s. Mary has sent me a copy of the coding, just in case I should mess around with the template and lose everything again!

Thank God that things are quiet and that your husband's illness too is on the mend. I agree that it is difficult to do anything when our world is upside down.

I'm so glad your husband is getting better. I hope that continues and all will be well in your household very soon!

Good luck with the coding, I can only imagine the mess I'd make if I tried that.

I am happy things are a bit better for you and your husband. Don't worry, we all make mistakes when we are a bit stressed out. Best of luck.

I do not know a thing about coding!
Your blog looks wonderful!

Take care.

Dear Carole,

My humble apologies for being rather lax in getting around to commenting. I'm in desperate need of a clone these days.

I do so wish that your husband's condition continues to improve. I'm sorry to read you had some bad luck when tinkering with your site. I keep wanting to mess around with my blog. Then I get real nervous.

May the coding return.

Wishing you and your husband a peaceful, relaxed weekend.

Hugs,

Gary (( ))

Glad things are settling down again, Carole. I only have to think about coding and I break out into a nervous sweat!

Your motto is wise words, indeed. Or should that be: your motto are wise words. Doesn't sound right.

Anyway, I'm glad everything's coming together for you two.

You were brave to play with the code. Glad it all turned out okay.

Hi Carole .. I'm glad to read things are settling down for you both.

I don't touch things - I dread the result! Though I hope my learning curve is going to improve in the months ahead ..

Cheers and have a happier bank holiday week ahead .. Hilary

I am so glad your husband is better than he was. Hope you have a good rest of the week together. I suspect you'll be staying away from the codes for a bit. :)

Carole Anne, as someone who continually plays around with my blog and often regrets it, I know that feeling in the gut when you go 'Oh no!' Still I mess...

Tinkering often cause problems! A forum owner I know recently deleted 3 years worth of members' posts by "accident" and she wasn't able to retrieve them!
