The Little World of Don Camillo Updated

Made a beginning on my first book for grown-ups, Snakeskin and Failed Feathers. If you are a fan of the Don Camillo books, you might like the one I'm writing. Anyone a fan? I think they are still in print! I had several copies of this series and gave them to friends - now I must begin to collect them again.......
So very pleased that kind friends have signed up to my writing event!! beginning on the 30th January. If you have missed it, do take a look on the events page on Facebook, or let me know on this blog, I would love to see you there. It will be a closed group, to avoid publication problems of my book at a later date, and therefore the nuisance of having to log in, but I do hope my offer of an eventual adult eBook, 'Snakeskin and Failed Feathers'  (ISBN: 978-0-9559818-7-6), will help.

Kind regards, Carole.

I've never heard of them, I don't think. Hmm. Now I'm not sure. Guess I better do a search. Thanks for sharing new titles for me to check out, Carole!

Hi Carole .. I used to love Don Camillo - but hadn't realised he was written by an Italian ...

Not very good English .. but you know what I mean ..

I checked out the link .. and was amazed to find out there's a BBC7 ... and that the stories had been rebroadcast in 2010 ...

Interesting things we find ... hope the snow isn't inhibiting you in any way - it's beautiful ... but!!!

Cheers Hilary

They are utterly charming, aren't they, Deniz. Always good to find something who loves the books as I do. :0)

You can still obtain copies second hand, Joylene. I have always adored the 'war' between the local priest and the communist mayor in the poverty stricken valley of the River Po. Humour and deepest humanity!

The books are always being re-discovered in one form or another Hilary. Such wonderful insight into human behaviour in the poverty stricken valley.
Hoping all is well with you, we live on a hill that is undiscovered by the council gritters. Last bad winter we were unable to leave the house for several weeks, we are hoping for better this time around. :0)

I haven't seen these, but from that cover it looks like a charming series.

Well worth exploring, Medeia. Finding about the author first is a good idea.

Hi Carole,
Hmmm I'm afraid I've never read those stories :(
If I were on the other side of the pond, I would have gone to your writing event, Carole. ;)

Hi Claudia. the event is just me posting chapters of my latest book, Snakeskin and Failed Feathers. It is a great deal to ask of people - reading through it before publication. It is a closed group, so no problem with publication later, and if you would like to join, but it is a lot to ask, then I'll send you the link.
