So I've taken the plunge and enrolled a couple of my eBooks in Kindle Select, but only after reading what so many other authors have said about this programme. I held my breath and did it!
After I'd pressed all the 'hopefully' correct buttons, and I'm notorious for not doing so, this is what came up. Hope it works!

And it told me that free promotions will start at approximately 12:00 AM Pacific Standard Time on the date specified. Also that depending on system latencies, it may take a few minutes to several hours for the free promotion to start. Free promotions will end at approximately 11:59 PM Pacific Standard Time on the date specified!
So that seemed quite definite enough. Oh, dear, what have I done?

I joined KDP but have not used the free button. I am not sure I will use it either, I will plod along and wait until it runs out, then will see about placing the novel with other ebook sites.
