My book Candle Dark is now sold out at Blists Hill Victorian Town and I have an order for more. Another small step.
I'm also told that I can do book signings there in the museum shop at school half term and in the summer holidays. Wonder if I could find the bits and pieces to dress up as a Victorian lady? Shouldn't be too difficult.
Sue, who runs the bookshop is also interested in my Halloween fantasy that is also set in the county of Shropshire, Thin Time. There is a wonderful celebration of Halloween at Blists Hill with thousands of visitors every year. It shouldn't be hard to dress up as a witch!

Sounds like a fun way to sign books, Carole! Maybe you can encourage the children to come to the book signing dressed up as their favorite characters from one of your books. Mine loved Thin Time! ☺
How lovely to hear that your children enjoyed Thin Time. Makes all my work worthwhile. i don't have any say over who comes to the book signing at the Victorian Town Living Museum, it is a World Heritage Site and I'm not considered important enough - no publisher - for them to bother to advertise my presence anywhere. I let local people know I'm there through Facebook and Twitter.
What fun that will be! And you get to dress up. I love going out in costume. Halloween should be every month instead of once a year!
What a wonderful idea, Christine, Halloween every month. It will be fun dressing up, haven't done that for many years since I used to be an actress and was Morgana in a play at Southport.
Hi Carole .. sounds like that's a good spot to be - I'm so pleased for you. Then Halloween is not that far away (sadly! due to the cold) ..
I'm sure you can find a costume or two .. enjoy - cheers Hilary
Thanks, Hilary, I'm already looking at outfits the volunteers wear at Blists Hill and shall act accordingly! Really looking forward to this as it is where my book is set and the response from visitors is excellent.
Yes, a Victorian lady would be just the ticket I think and so much fun.
I'm really looking forward to finding the clothes from the charity shops, Linda. :0)
How fantastic, Carole Anne. I agree with Christine.
Thanks for the visit, M.P.
What a great way to handle a book signing! Go for it!
Sounds like a day of fun, Carole. I bet your audience will think so too. I love the cover.
Thanks,Joylene, I'm off to find some 'Victorian' clothes and hopefully a straw hat with artificial fruit! :0)
Shall do,Susan, now to look for the crepe and jet for the outfit! :0)
@Larri - If there's Thin Time Cosplay, I want to be Fymm.
Thanks Neil, I had to look up, Cosplay to find out what it meant. :0) I'd like to be the Green Lady with mice in her hair and birds living on her cloak.
