The very last post of the challenge ! Now what book shall I sneak in? There are so many I'd still like to add. Given the my blog design, I should think Alice in Wonderland would be appropriate, wouldn't it, and my love for this book must be the reason why I called my heroine in Thin Time Alice.
I did not appreciate Through the Looking Glass as much as the first book. I think his concentration upon the chess game, and the idea that everything works in reverse, somehow spoiled things. It might be worth thinking through the reason for this.... note to myself.
The recent film version of the book was slated, but that didn't worry me, just to see the Cheshire Cat made up for every other failure. And thankfully it wasn't too far removed from the wonderful Tenniel drawings.
When I was ten I was chosen to be the rabbit in a church play. I went on to be an actress so I must have had yearnings to act even then. But I do remember being utterly petrified on that occasion and forgetting my lines.

Hi Carole Anne. I have a Yr 12 student doing Alice for a satire unit at the moment. The Looking Glass would work just as well with the reversal.
Phew, you made it through. I hope you enjoyed the challenge. Thanks for visiting me from time to time.
Denise
That sounds fun, Denise. Wish I could visit more, writing these books and looking after my invalid husband takes up much time. x
Interesting idea behind your story. Congrats on finishing A-Z!
Thank you for educating me to so many new books during the challenge.
Congratulations on finishing the Challenge! I was so much fun and I liked reading your posts. :)
Thanks, Clarissa. We made it!
Heather, I hope you have a chance to read some of them.
Thanks, Christine, your tackling of the challenge was great, very original story.
Hi Carole,
Delighted you made it to the conclusion of the alphabet challenge and have reached Zed or "Zee" as the Americans would call it :)
And I've noted they are having a 'reflective' posting after this. Makes me think of "Through the Looking Glass."
Well done Carole and I'm sure you were a wonderful rabbit in the church play :)
Hugs, Gary x
Oh, how very kind to say I was a lovely rabbit in the play, Gary, I'm smiling still. x
I love, love, love Alice in Wonderland. Have ever since I was little!
Love the book too,Stephanie, it is timeless.
Alice in Wonderland is a fantastic book.
In college, I was in Follow That Rabbit, based on Alice in Wonderland, and I played the Mock Turtle. It was so much fun.
Thanks for your kind comment on my blog!
Congrats Carole on finishing the A to Z blogging challenge.
I didn't get to read all your posts during the challenge, but congratulations. You did it!
Another who was in an Alice play, Cherie, we probably have the entire cast if we questioned all those on blogger. :0)
Interesting background to your book. :)
Congratulations on finishing the Challenge!
My pleasure, Clarissa.
Thanks, Rachna, it was a great effort, but we made it!
Thanks, Peaches, it was a huge effort with so many other writing tasks.
Thanks, G.E. it kept me away from what I should have been doing, a form of escapism.
Congratulations on such creativity! Who couldn't love Alice in Wonderland! I can see you as the Rabbit!
Congrats for making it through to the end of the challenge.
I loved Wonderland and the Looking Glass. It was all so magical when I first read it.
A very frightened rabbit to begin with Susan, but over the years coped with stage fright. :0)
There are so many wonderful children's stories still be written, Lynda. :0)
No kidding about so many books to choose from... I think if I ever do this A-Z challenge again, I will do books, both old beloved favorites and interesting new ones.
Margo, I'm sure you will enjoy that as much as I have.
Playing the rabbit in a play must've been cool!
Hi Catherine, when little I had terrible stage fright, learned to overcome this as I grew older. :0)
I must read Alice in Wonderland again because I can't for the life of me remember the ending. Oh dear.
Bravo for finishing the A-Z challenge, Carole. You're inspiring.
'Fraid the ending is a 'cop out' Joylene, the sort of ending no chn's author would get away with now. :0)
