The very last post of the challenge ! Now what book shall I sneak in? There are so many I'd still like to add. Given the my blog design, I should think Alice in Wonderland would be appropriate, wouldn't it, and my love for this book must be the reason why I called my heroine in Thin Time Alice.
I did not appreciate Through the Looking Glass as much as the first book. I think his concentration upon the chess game, and the idea that everything works in reverse, somehow spoiled things. It might be worth thinking through the reason for this.... note to myself.
The recent film version of the book was slated, but that didn't worry me, just to see the Cheshire Cat made up for every other failure. And thankfully it wasn't too far removed from the wonderful Tenniel drawings.
When I was ten I was chosen to be the rabbit in a church play. I went on to be an actress so I must have had yearnings to act even then. But I do remember being utterly petrified on that occasion and forgetting my lines.

Hi Carole Anne. I have a Yr 12 student doing Alice for a satire unit at the moment. The Looking Glass would work just as well with the reversal.

In college, I was in Follow That Rabbit, based on Alice in Wonderland, and I played the Mock Turtle. It was so much fun.
