Are you writing, editing doing it all yourself? I've tried it. But I've found a brilliant editor, just starting out - says pay him if you think he's worth it. You won't find a better offer. I tried him and he's amazing, improved my work tremendously on Thin Time. He helped me every inch of the way. Take up the offer while he's still available. Once more people realise just how good he is, he will be swamped with work. I've booked him for my next children's novel, Kendra, just to be sure. Grab him while you can! Yes, I thought it was too good to be true. I couldn't pay him for all the hours and hours of work he did for me, but I gave him what I could. I'm so glad I found him, I'm not battling alone any more. His name is Neil Fein and his email is neilfein@gmail.com

Thanks so much for sharing Neil, Carole. How generous! Happy editing. Oh, and have a lovely weekend.
Joylene, please, if you know of anyone who needs an editor and can't afford one at present, do tell them. I couldn't pay him much, this is my way of trying to help him, and I wouldn't do this if he weren't amazingly good at what he does.
Oh, and have a wonderful weekend too, Joylene. My husband has just heard that a lump we obviously thought the worst about is nothing to worry about, and so, yes, it will be a very happy weekend.
You're lucky you found such a great editor to work with, it's not an editor I need for my writing. I need a miracle!!
He worked miracles with me, Ryan, give him a try.
Ryan, you can always send me a chapter and, if nothing else, I can make a few suggestions.
Hi Carole; I don't know if I have written enough to even have Neil look at my stuff yet but I shall certainly keep him in mind. I have passed on the Stylish Blogger Award to you on my site. I hope you don't mind but I enjoy your postings and want people to know you more. Take care, best always
I need to hurry up and finish the MS! Thanks for the tip, Carole!
Email Neil, Heather, he is a lovely person who cares about your work, he improves it without changing your authors voice or style. He is quite prepared to look at whatever you have written and help you move forward. Give him a try, you won't regret it. And thanks so much for the kind award.
Vicki, I approached Neil when my manuscript was in very rough form and he saw me through to the finished article. Email him, you won't regret it.
Neil sounds very open and helpful. I am not at that point yet with my book, but will keep his email for later.
Also Thanks You! for commenting on my log on "Importance of Language". A dry piece, but something about which I feel passion.
Thanks for the great recommendation, Carole!
Susan, choosing Creative Writing and Poetry to study for many years as I did must mean that I also have a love of language. I do hope you contact Neil, he guides in such a kindly but very intelligent way. I thought the American/English language barrier would be a hindrance, but not at all. His knowledge of English grammar is sounder than my own!
Thanks, Sharon, he is well worth keeping in mind.
Does he look at manuscripts written for children?
Yes, Jan, he works with children's authors.
